Degreaser / Mesh Prep & Emulsion Remover SET

Set includes :

-250g Degreaser

-Emulsion Remover Powder for mixing 500ml solution

-"Emulsion Remover" Sticker is included so you can label and reuse your own spray bottle

Degreaser / Mesh Prep Instructions:

Screens must be degreased prior to applying emulsion.

Only use a little degreaser, apply with a sponge and get it to make a little lather. Wash the degreaser off with copious amounts of water. You need to make sure that the degreaser is completely cleaned out of the mesh. Running the water over the mesh instead of through the mesh is good, that way you can see if there are any areas that are repelling the water.

Mesh Prep / Degreaser Advantages:

• 100% Biodegradable

• Eliminates fisheyes and streaks in coatings

• Maximizes exposure latitude and adhesion for both emulsion and capillary film stencils

• Optimizes resolution , definition and stencil life

Emulsion Remover / Stencil Strip Instructions:

1.  Mix powder with 500ml of water, which gives a 2% strong solution designed for rapid removal of stencils

2. Ensure screen is cleaned of ink residue

3. Rinse with water, apply stencil remover to both sides of screen and leave for 10-15 minutes. DO NOT ALLOW TO DRY

4. Rinse off thoroughly with water, preferably under pressure

5. For old stencils, repeat the procedure

Decoating agent colour: White Powder

Emulsion remover/ Decoating agent powder offers several advantages:

- Economically priced and kinder to the planet- why ship water?

    a bit rubbish

The degreaser was fine but the emulsion remover still left parts of emulsion on the mesh after 5 /6 washes. I gave up and ripped it off and replaced with new mesh. It was a jacquard emulsion not flat fox but it should work regardless of brand. Hours wasted. Disappointed.

If you battle to strip your emulsion, your emulsion is probably underexposed. Underexposed emulsion is soft and absorbs chemicals during printing and can get locked in. When emulsions are well exposed they are easier to strip.

Diazo emulsions like your Jacquard emulsion have very wide exposure windows and are very easily underexposed. Try increasing your exposure time and if your positives are not dark enough and let light through making washout difficult, try doubling them to help get longer exposure times.

The emulsion remover is not rubbish and it works perfectly fine. When products do not work it is better to find out why and resolve the problem. Is the powder mixed into the correct amount of water ?

I can recommend trying our One Step emulsion which is a photoploymer, it responds very well to post exposure which makes it stronger and more waterproof. Fast easy exposures and easy stripping, no staining of mesh as there is no diazo.
